Climate forecast weekend – Britain hit by Arctic blast as temperatures drop to -10C in Scotland

BRITAIN is facing an Arctic blast with temperatures set to dip as low as -10C in places.

Gusts of winds reached 81mph in Scotland on Saturday and bookies predict this speed to reach 100mph over the weekend.

Gritters have been out in Northern Ireland spreading salt on the roads as temperatures are set to fall below zero.

Snow is forecast at lower levels in Scotland while the rest of the UK is set to experience the first “real taste of winter” of late 2020.

Thankfully the temperatures will have picked up slightly by Saturday, before an extremely changeable front moves in next week.
